Pike Research have predicted the number of hydrogen refueling stations to rise from 200 in 2101 to 5,000 in 2020. Looking at the investment made by companies and government to harness hydrogen’s energy, and it’s potential to be used in light duty vehicles, forklifts, buses, stationary power, and scooters, this rise is expected. A number of car manufacturers including Honda and Toyota have already planned to roll out hydrogen powered cars.
