According to the latest statistics published by Jato Dynamics, the scope for Electronic Vehicles is much higher in Germany than in the UK, even though Germany offers its consumers the lowest subsidy rates in Europe.

German consumers bought around 1000 Electronic Vehicles so far in 2011, compared  to just 599 in the UK. Denmark has the highest tax breaks for EV purchases in the European Union, but EV’s accounted only for 0.32% of the new car registrations in the country.

The number of EU EV’s have reached slightly more than 5200 thus far in 2011.
